About the Founder:
Mitch Allgood

Mitch is a former professional rugby league player who spent over a decade competing at the highest level, representing clubs in both the NRL and the English Super League. Throughout his sporting career, he came to understand firsthand the intense psychological demands placed on athletes—and the critical need for mental wellbeing to be prioritised alongside physical performance.

During this time, he developed a deep awareness of the silent struggles many face in elite environments. This sparked a personal commitment to mental health advocacy, leading to his role as an ambassador for The Black Dog Institute. Through his roles in Wellbeing and Education at the NRL and Player Operations at the Rugby League Players Association, he has dedicated his post-playing career to supporting the wellbeing of others.

With qualifications in Counselling and Elite Athlete Wellbeing Management, Mitch brings a powerful combination of lived experience, professional expertise, and compassionate leadership to every aspect of Elite Minds Wellbeing. His approach is grounded in real-world understanding—ensuring that strategies and support are not only evidence-based, but genuinely resonate with those on the ground.

Stress Management Tools for High-Performance Environments

This practical, skills-based workshop equips participants with proven tools to recognise, regulate, and recover from stress in high-performance settings. Central to this experience is the power of the breath—a foundational tool for accessing calm, clarity, and control in pressure-filled moments.

Participants explore simple yet powerful breathwork techniques that help regulate the nervous system, enhance focus, and promote emotional resilience. By understanding how to work with their physiology—not against it—they walk away with tools they can use in real time to stay grounded, reset under stress, and maintain performance when it matters most.


Conversations That Matter

A Step-by-Step Guide to Support

This training equips participants with practical tools to recognise, respond, and support in moments of crisis or distress, including when suicide risk may be present. Participants gain step-by-step guidance on asking direct, compassionate questions, holding conversations safely, and connecting individuals to appropriate care pathways.

With a focus on calm, caring, and effective responses, Conversations That Matter provides clarity and confidence to support others through life’s most difficult moments—transforming hesitation into meaningful action.

Mental Health Response Certification

Course length: 6 hours | Certification included

Our Mental Health Response Certification is contemporary, evidence-based training designed to equip participants with the skills and confidence to respond to mental ill-health in workplace and performance environments.

Across a six-hour, hands-on session, participants develop practical tools to engage and support someone who may be experiencing poor mental health, distress, or crisis. Training covers:

  • How to recognise and safely respond when someone may be at risk of suicide or experiencing a mental health crisis.

  • How to approach and support someone showing early signs of struggle.

  • Roles and responsibilities when offering support.

  • Safe, effective communication techniques for difficult conversations.

  • How and when to engage professional help in both crisis and non-crisis scenarios.

By the end of the course, participants will be able to recognise changes in behaviour, respond with confidence and compassion, and take appropriate action.

Each participant receives a copy of the Mental Health Response Manual and a Certificate of Accreditation, recognising both their practical skills and their commitment to strengthening mental fitness and prioritising wellbeing in their organisation and beyond.
